Susan Yawn Tanner turned her passion for history into a writing career with sweeping historical romances of the American West and Scotland. Her first five novels and a novella were published by Leisure Books, an imprint of Dorchester Publishing, during its heyday. They are currently published by Columbine Publishing, as is a sixth historical romance.

In more recent years, she mastered the art of the mystery with five fun novels and two short stories, all of which feature a supersleuth in the form of a feline detective.

Her latest series, The Bellamy Legacy, brings the descendants of three powerful families from her westerns into the present with a blend of romance and suspense. These, too, are published by Columbine Publishing.
